Overall, my impresion and the facility was with overall staisfaction. My grandmother was there for a couple of months before she passed. The overall sutuation was very heavy on the heart--draining emotionally and physically. The best compliment I can give is that I did not notice them which means that they did not hinder the process in such a stressful time. These quality measures were selected because they are important. They show ways in which nursing homes are different from one another.

We chose this facility because, firstly it had high rating. The other thing that was a real deal-sealer for us is that my parents live practically across the street from it. We felt it would be easy for my dad if he want to spend time with my mom. Also I live 15 minutes away from there, so it was easy for me to get there to help out with things and to visit. My first impression of it was that it looked a little old and kind of not so cheerful, but it turned out to be exactly what we needed. At times, we noticed that they would get confused about getting medications on time; however, they were very good to my parents.
She is so very well taken care of, and she is loved by the staff and other residents. We brought our 5 pound teacup Pomeranian and she was a celebrity. My mom is thriving here, which is such a relief, as this whole situation has had me worried.
